After updating to Mac OS Sonoma, the safari address in separate view disappeared, if I right click to "customize toolbar" twice, safari will crash. The address bar is only shown in compact view, but in compact view, I cant command+L to type in the address bar directly.

Experiencing the same issue as OP, crash after trying to customise toolbar to reintroduce removed buttons and address bar. Have to use cmd t for new tab as well as the new tab button is gone. Only thing left on the top bar is 'Tab group picker' and the 'Show sidebar button'. Any chance a solution could be posted directly here rather than us each having to privately contact support?

I reset the configuration thru terminal, and solved the issue.
