Access Auto-Lock from control center

Currently on iPhones auto-lock can only be set under display settings in settings (several taps to get to) and it controls how long of inactivity before the screen shuts off, from 30-seconds to 5 minutes, or never. I often toggle between those choices several times a day depending on what I am doing. I really need to be able to access that setting much more quickly and conveniently via the control center. I don’t see any option to add it to the control center yet I see many old comments throughout the past years expressing the need for this.

Is this something Apple can do for us soon ??

Sounds like a good idea, but the best place to suggest something to Apple is here→Product Feedback - Apple

This is a user-to-user forum, with minimal Apple participation.

Hello bunnislippers,

You could use the Shortcuts app to create a shortcut that brings you directly to this setting.

  • Open Shortcuts.
  • Add a shortcut.
  • Add the action "Open URLs"
  • Type the following in the action argument:
prefs:root=DISPLAY&path=AUTOLOCK
  • Rename the shortcut to your liking by touching the icon "arrow pointing down" next to the name of the shortcut. In this exemple, it is set to "Auto Lock Settings".

Here is what you should see:

The nice thing with shortcuts is that you can tell Siri "Auto Lock Settings" (as in this exemple) and you'll be brought directly to those settings.
