I am unable to turn off the “now playing” when I’m listening to music on my iPhone displaying on my Apple Watch

I have turned off the auto launch. I’ve reset the watch and the phone. I do not want music or other things with audio displaying on the watch as it drains the battery. How can I stop this?

Apple Watch Series 6, watchOS 10

I am searching for the same answer. I have resolved to deleting the 'Now Playing' app altogether because after following the same steps you did, my watch randomly triggers 'Now Playing' and plays the most offensive music possible. Music I don't ever listen to. 🤦🏽‍♀️ I listen to children's music all day everyday. It doesn't play music in my library, instead the app inexplicably launches into the foulest trap music (if it can even be called music) imaginable. Make it make sense.
