When an Apple screensaver is displayed, simply touch the centre of the remote and the location of the image will be displayed on the bottom left of the screen. We all know this. Except with the latest update (September 2023). What you’ll see is the file name Apple uses in development. Example: the aerial shot of a (pine?) forest is called, R010_C003_0. I’d expect more attention to detail and adherence to quality control measures from Apple.
Thanks for the reply. I’ve already spent time picking up and reporting errors to Apple on various things over the years. Perhaps the people who actually get paid to do these jobs could do it, instead of the customers, who have already spent a fortune purchasing the supposedly retail-ready products.

I’m getting the expected location descriptions on Aerial screen savers in tvOS 17.0. So your issue may not happen for everyone, meaning it might be caused by something that is different for your setup.
Does it happen for some clips or all clips?
If this is about tvOS 17.1 beta, then you are asked to not discuss any experience publicly. Instead use the Feedback Assistant to report to Apple devs.
I am also experiencing the same issue with my screen saver I don't find it to be right. Within the next update is this able to fixed ?
Today 11 screensavers have downloaded instead of 1 - they are set to download monthly so today I got almost a year’s worth…
7 of them have file names like you describe, and 4 of which have the location of the image.

I have the same behavior reported in the original post and I'm on tvOS 17.0. I noticed this only applied to 4-5 new clips. The older ones have the correct name.
I too am experiencing the same issue with only the newer clips and no, am not using any beta software. It’s just another example of Apple releasing things without good quality control.
SOLVED! I just restarted the Apple TV. Settings>System>Restart. (NOT Reset!) The titles are showing up now.
