Is it advisable to purchase iPhone tempered glass or screen protectors from authorised Apple stores only, even though they are four times more expensive than those sold outside?
Are they more genuine and worth the extra cost for better protection?

Getting a Screen Protector:
Is this covered by AppleCare? If so, then I would advise not getting a liquid screen protector applied, as it would void the coverage. As for who should perform this, a retailer may do just fine. But, going through Apple, then you'll have a bit more trustworthiness of someone possibly knowing what they are doing, being they've probably been training in this.
