Why does my new iPhone 14 Pro show an expired warranty on activation?

Hello. I bought an iPhone 14 pro in an unopened new box. The model number starts with the number 5 instead of M. When I activate the phone, it shows that the warranty has expired. What could be the reason for this?

OK, so you bought a 3rd party refurbished phone with no warranty. I would return it. Apple-refurbished phones do not have a serial number that starts with a digit.
