I'm inserting a mp4 movie from imovie into keynote 13.2 to custom size it for instagram stories but after exporting to movie from keynote, it does not play. It does play while in keynote. This process stopped working after the last update. The export setting are set for self playing.

Whilst a video will play quite happily in my Keynote presentation, when exporting (with correct settings), the resulting 'movie' is glitchy and out of synch.
It's driving me insane!

I'm having this same issue. It seems to be an Intel problem, as this happens on my older iMac and my older MacBook Pro, but not on my Mac Studio at the office. I've looked and don't see a solution for reverting back to Keynote 13.1. Anyone have any guidance on how to do that?

I have the same fault with Keynote 13.2 in Sonoma, no issues with Keynote 13.1 in SONOMA so use that until Apple fix 13.2.
Also let Apple know of the problem by using Apple Feedback: Feedback - Keynote - Apple

I am running Ventura 13.5.2 and I also cannot export a video successfully. How can I fix this problem?
ALl I can say, as much as I hate to say it... POWERPOINT works.
How can I fix this problem?
Until Apple release an update to sort this, you cant fix.
A workaround is to remove Keynote 13.2 and use Keynote 13.1
Here is how I fixed mine:
1 - Make a duplicate of your original Keynote
2 - Right Click on the Duplicate of your Keynote and view the package contents.
3- Open the folder called “Data” and remove your embedded videos contained within it by moving them to another location or folder like your desktop.
4 - Re-encode your videos using “Handbreak.app” with similar format settings but outputting them with “Fast 1080p30” with video encoder set to “MPEG-4”
5 - Open the duplicate keynote file in keynote app. It should say the movies embedded are corrupt.
6 - Replace the media now in the document with your new re-encoded videos.
7 - Now export from keynote again and your new movie will look a lot better.
The issue seems to be with the desktop version of keynote. The mobile version exported the video with no problems for me.

Having the same issue here as well. Does anyone have a process/procedure for installing Keynote 13.1? How do you roll this desktop application back?
