Transferring data from the old iPhone 11 to the iPhone 14 Pro

I am trying to transfer data according to the instructions from my previous phone to the new iPhone (iPhone 14) but it asks me before it transfers the data that it downloads the new IOS 17.0.2 update and for three hours it has been downloading it on the new phone and is not progressing

And on the old phone it's just stuck on the screen and it says "waiting for a software update" to transfer the data

And I've been stuck like this for more than three hours without any phone, what do we do???

Hey S-04,

If you're still having an issue getting the new iPhone to download and install the required updates, you may want to set it up as a new device and install the update first. Then after the update is installed, you can erase the new iPhone and start the data transfer again.

Force restart iPhone - Apple Support to get the Setup Assistant to appear again
Set up your new iPhone as a new device, then update the software: Update your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support
After the update is complete, restore the new iPhone to factory settings to get the Setup Assistant to appear again. Here's a guide to help and you can skip the backup since there's no data on the device yet: How to factory reset your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
