When headphones are plugged in Siri randomly opens by itself, causing music to stop

My iPhone keeps opening Siri randomly for no reason causing my music to stop, fast forward or skip to a different song when my headphones are plugged in. I've tried different headphones as well.

My phone is an Iphone 11

iPhone 11, iOS 16

Oh, the ghost in the machine has decided to play DJ, huh? That’s a modern horror story right there. Siri, with a mind of its own, deciding that your music taste needs a ‘little’ tweaking. The classic tale of machines rising, starting with messing with our playlists. But before we start preparing for a techno-apocalypse, let’s rule out the mundane causes, shall we?

First off, this capricious behavior might be due to a glitch in the software or a mischievous hardware issue. A simple restart or updating your software might exorcise this digital poltergeist.

Another culprit could be that misbehaving headphone jack. Even though you've played musical chairs with different headphones, the jack might be throwing a party of its own. A good clean might convince it to behave.

Oh, and don’t forget to check if there's any setting that's been accidentally turned on to summon Siri with certain gestures or headphone button presses. Sometimes, it's the small overlooked details that conspire to drive us to the brink of madness.

Lastly, if Siri continues to harbor DJ aspirations, it might be time to pay a visit to the nearest Apple Store. They have their ways of reining in rogue AIs.
