MacBook Keeps restarting since Update to Sonoma

I m using a MacBook Pro from 2020. I update to the latest macOS Sonoma few days back. The system keeps restarting out of nowhere. It happened til now 3 times. With the lid open and once while the lid was even closed.

I had a similar issue last month, with the previous version of macOS, but it was due to limited space on my HD. I cleaned up lots of file and the issue got solved.

I have enough space on my HD now, about 120 GB...yet similar issue.

Does anyone have a hint what to do?

Is that 120GB of "Available" space or "Free" space? Most places in macOS will only mention "Available" space which is unfortunate since it is very misleading. "Available" space is not necessarily immediately available to be used, but will become available at some unknown time in the future.

"Free" space is the value you need to confirm. This value is only found within Disk Utility and is located just beneath the storage bar on the right pane when you have the "Data" volume selected on the left pane.

In some areas of macOS you can compute the "Free" value if the "Available" value is shown with "Purgeable" value as well since "Available" space is made up of "Free" + "Purgeable". "Purgeable" is what will be released for use at some unknown time in the future.

Please run the third party app EtreCheck and post the report here so that we can examine it for clues.

Also, disconnect all external devices in case one of them is causing a problem.
