I want to be able to sync my subscribed calendars to iCloud. This is especially useful because my iCloud calendar can sync to my work scheduling system. This sync is useless because no subscribed calendars can be seen or checked to cross reference availability.

Thank you for reaching out in Apple Support Communities. Which device are you using when attempting to view the subscribed calendars? If you're on the website for iCloud it states the following:
If you visit iCloud.com or are using Microsoft Outlook, you won't see your subscribed calendars updated with iCloud

Why aren't subscribed calendars synced to iCloud yet? This is a major disadvantage.
