Android to Mac file transfer

I tried connecting my android phone to Mac through wire and transfer files using android file transfer app. However it kept showing "Couldn't connect to device". I tried every possible way, reinstalling android file transfer etc.

Also I tried connecting my phone to my friend's Mac and it was able to recognise my device and even able to transfer files.

Meaning there is some problem with my Mac .

(I have latest software in both phone (android13) and Mac (Sonoma 14.0))

Please help me with this..

For me it was the Dropbox app causing the problem. When I quit the Dropbox app, it works

Hi there Rohit-Sharma,

Have you tried connecting to a different port on your Mac? Are you able to connect an iPhone or iPad to your Mac successfully?

Make sure you're following the steps in this link from the Android website: Android File Transfer

If you need further assistance with this, we's suggest clicking the 'Get Help' section of the link above. This is a feature that's supported by Android.

Take care.
