iPhone 14 power adapter and cable compatibility

I recently switched from an iPhone 8 to an iPhone 14 (both have lightning ports).

1. Is it possible to use the old cable (lightning - USB) with the new phone in my car (which has a USB port)?
2. Is it possible in a pinch to use the old cable (lightning -USB) to charge the new phone with the old 12 W USB power adapter? I do have the 20 W USB-C power adapter for the new phone.
