How to disable Inline Predictive Text (iOS 17)

Didn’t really like to use the new Inline Predictive Text feature on the keyboard. However, it seems to be fully integrated with the previous predictive text feature (bar on top of the keyboard).

would love to be able to toggle it on and off as a separate feature. It’s really been messing up with my typing experience.

Was anyone able to do this?

I turned off predictive text in the keyboard settings. This did not turn off inline text suggestions, it only turned off the suggestions that appear directly above the keyboard. How do I turn this feature off, if the predictive text setting does not affect it?

Disabling Predictive Text Autofill on iPhone I like the predictive text option, seeing the options above my keyboard. They can be very helpful. However, it is so annoying that when I'm typing words like "to" or just random words that my phone thinks it knows the next part of, it automatically fills it in. "really" is a huge one for some reason. It autofills every time I said "R". Or it's always continuing my sentences. I have autocorrect off. I just wish I was able to keep predictive text on as an option but not be forced to let it autofill. It's so annoying. [Re-Titled by Moderator]

How to switch off a feature when iOS 17 underlines autocorrected words? I have just updated to iOS 17 and now i regret it. I can't find a way to switch off the new distracting setting. Now with autocorrect working it underlines each word with blue or grey color (depending on the app). Instead of typing fluently I now constantly get distracted to those underlined words. Does anyone know how is it possible to disable this while keeping autocorrect option?
