When will Waze or Google Maps work with CarPlay Heads Up Display?

I leave in a country where Apple Maps turn by turn navigation is not available, therefore I use Waze or Google Maps with Apple CarPlay, but they don’t project the turn by turn directions on my 2023 Honda Pilot heads up display. Will Apple make turn by turn navigation on Head Up Display available on CarPlay for Waze or Google Maps, and not just Apple Maps?
