Sometimes iPhone doesn’t ring on incoming texts
About 1/3 of the time phone doesn’t ring when I receive texts. One time it will then next time it doesn’t.

Hearing Notifications:
Make it a quick ding sound, rather than a few seconds. If it was sent at the exact same time, expect the notifications to overlap. Sometimes, it just doest make a ding, and there's nothing to do about it.
