How do I deauthorise my iPad?

I'm trying to authorise my new laptop, but I'm told there are five devices authorised, including an old iPad. I can't remove this.

Windows, Windows 10

Only computers are authorized devices; iPads are not.

You can remove all authorized devices by using the "Deauthorize All" option described in Authorize or deauthorize your computer for iTunes Store purchases - Apple Support

iPads can be "associated" devices but that doesn't affect the authorized 5 device limit. For more information see: Authorization vs. association - Apple Community
