How to get Finder 'search results' to identify the *folder* the search hits are in?

When I run a search in the Finder (OS Mojave 10.14.3), the results don't show 'folder location' for the search 'hits'.

I don't see any option to add that as a parameter.

Is there one?

Thanks.

There are two ways to show a path:

  1. Under the View menu in the finder there should be something that says Show Path. Show Path puts a bar at the bottom of the Finder window that, when you click on a file in your search results, will show the path to the file. Hover over each folder to see the folder names if the path is too long to fit in the window.
  2. Another option is to Get Info on the file in question (command + i), which will show its path under General: Where, in the Get Info window.

Hope this helps.
