No photos from iCloud showing up on new iPhone 15 Pro Max and I feel like I’m going insane.

I’ve tried almost everything. I originally wanted to download all the photos off my iCloud because I have increased storage now. So I turned off iCloud Photos, signed out of my iCloud account. This was to force the phone to download the photos in the cloud.

When I log back in, every photo in the cloud is no longer showing in the photos app. I went to iCloud.com to see if they even exist, and they do indeed exist.

I’ve tried everything to have to reload onto the phone: Reset network settings, switched back to optimize phone storage, restarted my phone. I have great internet connection and I have my phone plugged in as well. I’m 80% battery mode as well. Apple Support couldn’t help either. Pretty disappointing.

What you need to do is this:

1 - sign back in to your iCloud account.

2 - enable iCloud Library.

3 - do not enable Optimize Storage if you want to store the full sized versions on your iPhone.

If you no longer want to use the iCloud Library disable it (only if you do not have Optimize Storage enabled) after the download from the iCloud Library is comple. Do not sign out of your iCloud account.

Note: it will take some time to download all of the full sized versions to your iPhone so patience is a virtue and a necessity.
