How do i stop getting other people's contact posters?

In the new version of iOS (iOS 17) theres the new contact poster feature, and I'd like to know how I disable getting other people's contact posters. I've disabled sending mine, and now I would like to stop getting others.

Disable all incoming contact posters I personally find this new feature awful - I don't want the ability for someone to control, without me opting in / accepting, what their contact information looks like on my phone. I know I can revert an individual contact, and I know I can disable my outgoing poster. I would really like to be able to have a setting that disables all incoming contact posters and makes them opt-in, similar to the previous functionality ("person A has an updated name/photo available" with an option to update or ignore).

HOW TO DISABLE CONTACT POSTER showing next to each text. Hey All! New IOS updates have annoying features - One is the contact poster appearing next to a person's name in a Message thread. I don't need to see their picture as I know who it is by name ;-). I have found no way at all how to disable this. It is annoying and a useless waste of space. I know this has come up before on other forums. No solutions yet? Please assist. Have tried different ways to remove to no avail! Thanks.

Contact Poster I want to disable my contact poster so it doesn’t appear when I call someone. Although I disabled the feature through my personal card, it still appears to my contacts when I call them. I also changed the sharing option to “Always ask”. I deleted my poster and my contact photo. Even after all these steps, when I call my contacts it is still visible to them. Any ideas how to solve this?

I have been successful in replacing the shared photo from a contact to a photo of my choice.
