How do I add the "Brave Search "Search Engine as default with Safari?

There isn't much to say, title is self explanatory.

Brave does not offer a selectable Safari Search Engine. The Brave browser app uses it though: https://brave.com/

As a workaround you can designate Brave's search page as Safari's Home page: Change General settings in Safari on Mac - Apple Support

Since the Brave browser arguably competes with Safari and has its own business model, I doubt Brave would even be interested in paying Apple enough to consider adding it as a selectable Safari Search Engine... though you could ask.

Hi luckymess,

Thanks for posting in Apple Support Communities! To adjust your search engine for Safari, follow the steps below from the article Choose a search engine for Safari on Mac:

  1. "In the Safari app  on your Mac, delete all text in the Smart Search field.
  2. Click the magnifying glass , then choose a search engine from the list."

If you don't see an option that you want, submit feedback about Mac settings here: Product Feedback - Apple. We also suggest reaching out to the developer of Brave Search to check compatibility with your device and inquire about instructions on installation, if compatible.

Cheers!
