Suggested move to mail files quit working

When I click on move to file, it no longer lists the file I previously moved the emails to. I would like that feature restored.

Hi gregw0001,

Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities! If you create a new mailbox as listed below, are you able to move message there:

Use mailboxes to organize email on your iPhone or iPad

1. In the Mailboxes list, tap Edit in the upper-right corner, then tap New Mailbox.
2. Give your mailbox a name. If you have more than one email account set up on your device, tap Mailbox Location and choose the account where you want to create a mailbox.
3. Tap Save, then tap Done.

If not, we recommend that you reach out to Apple Support directly to take a further look. Please reach out here:

Hope this helps!

Have a great day.

Hello gregw0001,

Thanks for providing those details. Uninstalling the latest version of iOS and downgrading to a different version isn’t supported as this may cause security vulnerabilities, but we'd be happy to continue working with you on this.

iOS 17.0.2 was recently released, so if you haven't updated yet, please back up your device, and update by following the steps in the following links:

Back up iPhone

Update your iPhone or iPad

If that didn't help, we'd recommend getting in touch with Apple Support to investigate this issue further. Depending on your region, you may be able to reach them here: Get Support

Kind regards.

This is not at all what I asked for. I have several existing mailboxes in my various email accounts. Prior to this update, I could click on "move to folder" and the phone would automatically suggest a folder if I previously moved an email there. It made sorting the mailbox quick and easy. Now, when you want to move an email into a folder, it no longer suggests a previously used folder and you have to hunt through all of the folders looking for the one you want. That search is time consuming and annoying since it worked so well before. All I'm asking is to restore that option since it was already there before this last update. If that can't be done, how can I return my phone to iOS 16?
