iPadOS 17 is ridden with bugs which I keep reporting in Feedback Assistant but get no acknowledgment

I recently upgraded to iPadOS 17 on my iPad Pro 11" (2018). It is full of bugs which ideally shouldn't have been there and I have gone through all the motions of restarting, and then resetting the device. I only haven't gone so far as to Erase All Contents and Settings. I have reported each bug I have found on Feedback Assistant but I haven't received any acknowledgement that the issue exists which is quite frustrating.

  1. Hearing in Control Centre does not work properly, particularly when AirPods are connected. The AirPods symbol glitches and when background sounds are played, the iPad itself freezes.
  2. On my iPad, when I try to add apps to Always Allowed, a lot of apps which are not present on my iPad but present on my iPhone are shown. The apps are then greyed out such that I cannot add any apps to Always Allowed. This happened after I activated Share Across iCloud Devices in Screen Time. However, the problem occurs even after turning off that setting, and resetting my iPhone and iPad. In the picture attached, apps such as Calculator, Forex Exchange and others which are not on my iPad are still visible. In fact, some apps which I have previously downloaded but aren’t even on my iPhone are visible.
  3. The battery widget does not function properly in Landscape mode. For the single tile battery widget, it is not possible to manually change the device whose battery you want to see. However, the same functionality works in portrait mode.
  4. I am unable to use back-to-back Siri requests on my iPad even though the website says it is supported. If this functionality has been delayed to a later release of iPadOS 17, there is nothing to indicate that to users.

My experience with Apple hardware and software has generally been very good. However, my experience with the latest release of iPadOS has been subpar at best, especially with all the bugs. I hope that Apple support staff sees this post and escalates it to the relevant teams so that these bugs can be dealt with asap

Feedback Assistant is for beta software as I understand it. iPadOS 17 is no longer beta. You can certainly use the feedback portal but they are very clear they don't respond directly.

Product Feedback - Apple

What I can tell you is that Apple does not read here in this user-to-user technical support forum for feedback or suggestions.

Thanks for your response! I had seen on some other thread, someone from Apple who was taking case IDs and giving updates to the people who had given feedback on Feedback Assistant. So, I thought this might be a good forum to get some reach. It’s just really quite frustrating that there are so many bugs and no one to help with these things, nor any direct way to report them.

EDIT: The link you sent me hasn’t been updated to accept feedback for iOS/iPadOS 17 or macOS 13.6.

Apple's Product Feedback portal often lags behind the current product releases. When submitting a Bug Report or version-specific comments/feedback, ensure that you include your device model and installed OS version within the body-text of your report.

Also note that the Feedback Portal makes clear that you may not receive a personal response. That said, we are assured that all feedback and reports are logged and passed to the relevant teams.
