Touchbar on Macbook Pro so dim I can't see any images

How do I adjust the brightness of the touchbar on my Macbook Pro 13" M1 2020? The other forums say this brightness is fixed but it has changed in the last few days and I can barely see the images now. It pops up on my screen to adjust the images but that doesn't help when I want to us the touchbar on the keyboard.

there is no user setting for Touchbar backlight

on the M1 the best you can do —Shut down, close the lid 30 secs+ , reboot as normal.

If no resolve try SafeBoot Use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support to sort anomalies.

If the touchbar is failing take it in—

I had a similar issue with my MacBook Pro (13-inch, M1, 2020). I opened the computer and the touchbar seemed unnecessarily dim. When attempting to adjust the brightness of the screen & the keyboard, the touchbar didn't increase in brightness. However, I did shutdown my computer and upon turning it back on, the brightness of the touchbar readjusted.
