Poor XR battery life on iOS17
Since I upgraded to iOS17 my XR battery life is much shorter. The battery is relatively new and healthy

Give it a couple more days. Heavy background processing always occurs after a major software update and will drain the battery faster until the processes complete. All of your photos will most likely need reindexing and after clearing cache files, there will be much more processor power used until they can be used efficiently again requiring far less energy. Spotlight also has to reindex all of the files. This always happens. Here is one article that explains this as well.
