On iOS 17, the Hebrew font changed to a one that's too tall and inconvient to read after being used to a classic font for many years on iPhone (and other Apple devices).
Please consider reverting this change as it's too distracting and doesn't deliver the "professional Apple style" (the text looks like text on a boomer's phone).
This change is unwanted by every person I talk to about the latest changes.

I agree! It looks horrible
They must change it back or give us the option to choose a font that we prefer.

How often does that horrible font show up? I saw it when my phone rang. If I could even resize the dang thing without it effecting anything else, that would be helpful. Everyone at the table could see what's on my phone. That's WRONG. Whatever UI person and their management team that thought this was a good thing, should perhaps get some further training.
I also noticed the change of font. It looks a bit awkward, but I guess we'll get used to it...
For me as a Hebrew learner I also noticed that the key for the nikkud signs is gone. It used to be next to the "space" key but now I don't find it anymore :(

I think there is now a separate keyboard for that, called Hebrew Nikkud. Look for it in settings > general > keyboard > keyboards > add new keyboard
I actually didn't like it at first, but now, after several days of using it... I like it much better.

I think that the new Hebrew font is kind of nice, it’s a little bit bigger, and it looks more fancy, more elegant

It was not a seperated keyboard but when I clicked on the existing Hebrew one I could choose the nikkud.
