Change side button back to recent app list?

Is there a way to change the side button so that it bring up recent apps again? I use control center so rarely, the button is now worthless.

Apple Watch Ultra, watchOS 10

It’s been changed to double pressing the digital crown.

Hi Patrick123,

In iOS 17, head to Settings > Action button on the iPhone 15 Pro/Pro Max and you can set the Action button to launch

My question was about the Watch Ultra, not the iPhone 15.
