AirTag disappeared after ios17 install, any idea how to bring them back without resetting

Just to check, you are looking for them under: objects , not under devices. Correct?

I thought I’d gone mad trying to find them in devices but it is showing under objects in the find my app.

You need to open the "find my" app on your iPhone or the "find my" app on your Mac. (Not the "Find My " listed when you click on your name under settings. If you need to Do a search on the phone for "find my" and you will see that there is a separate app for it. Once you open the "find my" app select devices (located on the bottom of menu) you will find your iPhone, iPad...etc but in order to see the locations of your air tags, you will need to select items on the bottom menu

Worked with apple support and the answer was to reset each one and then re-add to my account. Basically you pop the battery in and out 4 times and it makes a noise each time and then on the fifth time it makes a different noise and that factory resets them. And then I added back into my account from

scratch.

Same - upgraded and they disappeared from my ‘objects’ and are no longer associated w/ my account

Attempt these these in order:

• Power-off restart the iPhone

If ineffective:

• Sign-out then Sign-in to your AppleID.

No luck whatsoever. I took the dive and even logged out of iCloud entirely and logged back in, they just don’t exist in the iPhone app. They still appear in find my for my iPad and MacBook, but that doesn’t help if I’m don’t have those or to stop the “AirTag found traveling with you” alerts. iOS17 also has an issue where it disable my phones access to the “find my network” in iCloud settings and refuses to let me enable it because of a glitch with 2-step authentication. It could be related to this AirTag issue, perhaps the update did the same thing to you

Yes, it works. I have multiple AirTags from my last trip, and I have to re-set each one by removing and putting back the battery at least 5 times until I hear a different sound and add back to my iPhone one at a time.

I had 3 but they all disappeared from Find My after the iOS update. I have tried to reset them but it does t work. Find my is telling me that devices are following me

For mee too :( Has anyone had luck with these steps? Or any other steps? I tried resetting iPhone, airtag, network sensing, location settings and so but no luck. Would like to avoid iCloud logout and loose al my picture and wallet items :(

Hmmm … are the AirTag batteries in good shape AND “Bitterant-Free” ?
