Numerous phantom flagged emails appearing after updating to iOS 17 on iPhone

After updating to IOS 17 I now have a massive amount of phantom flagged emails which a not visable in any of the folders i have within my Icloud Account. I have asked siri to read any unread messages and have done a number of suggested ways to clear but still shows 422 flagged emails but their are none in the flagged folder

Go into the folders view in your Mail app. Tap Edit at the top right and hide your Flagged folder. Tap Done. Then go to Edit again and re-enable your Flagged folder. This cleared my phantom flagged message.
