Sorry it took me so long to respond. I had a hard time finding this/my previous post, here in Apple communities. (Apparently, I’m not the only one having this issue.) I DID find your reply in my email, after posting this reply. But I was on here looking for my past posts (in general) this morning, before seeing the email (sent to an address that I don’t check as often).
The song was “Celebrity Skin” by Hole. Just some random song name I heard mentioned, watching TV. I was looking it up as a means of sampling it. (Not really my taste, actually. Probably won’t purchase a copy.)
Regarding music from the 90s, there’s WAY more I might’ve looked up - except I already OWN most of them (at least the good stuff)! I could probably have supplied you with 10 other song examples - from various decades, which won’t play - but I wasn’t keeping track of them. I’ll try to let you know the next time I’m on my PC & it happens again. (I recall at LEAST 10 - that didn’t work.)
Just tried sampling Celebrity Skin in iTunes on my iPad - and it played fine. So it’s definitely an iTunes for PC issue. I use Windows 10.
All I know is: I’m SICK of reading about all of these iTunes for Windows issues (which I am not personally experiencing, for the most part, because I still use an older iTunes version). But don’t get me STARTED on issues with incorrect album covers on my iPhone 14 Pro (to name ONE problem - of many)! All I know is: I’m fearful about updating to the latest iTunes version until I STOP seeing scary complaints. And weird glitches!
I LIKE to have the latest software! But enjoying my HUGE music collection (collected over decades, LONG before iTunes) played from my PC on iTunes, through our Bose whole-house stereo system, also using Apple Remote (love that) & Audioengine (even tho Apple airplay worked MUCH better, but they don’t make it anymore 😠) or syncing onto MULTIPLE Apple devices, including an iPod touch, to play on my 11 Speaker Bose System in my car - all take priority over “the latest iTunes update.”
All I want to see is an iTunes update with no (or minimal) complaints!
