always on display stopped working after ios 17 update - iPhone 14 pro

after doing iOS 17 update. my iPhone 14 pro lcd is now turning off when in lock screen.

super annoying, tried toggling button and restarting. phone display turns off.

'Always on' display turning off automatically on my iPhone 16 Pro Max Hi, I upgraded to the 16 pro max. Have seen a few threads logged with this exact same problem but the always on display sometimes turns off for no reason and the screen is dark. I have tried a hard reboot, and software is up to date. My understanding is the display is always supposed to be dimly lit even in a dark room? It is working 95% of the time but other times the phone just appears off until you pick up the device which activates this feature again. IPhone 16 Pro Max: Always on display bugged after 18.4 The title says all. I have a 16Pro Max with infamous screen glitches. After the 18.4 update, if I put the "DND" full immersion and restore normal function, Always On Display shut down and I need to restore to on. Please note: I mean the AOD during the day, with the hour dimmed and notification.

Update on this, it started to work again, nothing I did but maybe an update fixed it.

I powered down for 10 minutes and restarted and now it seems to work.
