Why are we being so secretive and difficult in answering the question on how to restore or install the “SELECT ALL” option on the IPhone 14 mail app
just want to empty my trash without having to select each one separately.

Yes, “select all” is available once your messages are IN Trash. But what about in the incoming mailbox?

What happens when you are in the TRASH folder and tap on the EDIT button at the top right? Do you see the SELECT ALL option at the top left after tapping Edit?

now I do - but it wasn’t there earlier.
perhaps it needed to be closed and reopened. Or unjust needed to complain about it 😁
Ha! You just needed to come here and presto it is fixed. Glad the issue has been resolved.

"SELECT ALL" is not shown if the mailbox (Inbox, Trash, etc) is being filtered.
