Ongoing calls on lockscreen (the call itself, not notifications)

I want to know how to make active calls stop taking over the lockscreen. I think it is annoying because it forces me to swipe up repeatedly just to get to my home screen which should only take one swipe. I would rather just have only the little green icon in the top corner that way it's there when I need it but not in my way. I have seen the page about "using an app while on a call" and that is not a helpful solution. Is there any way to get the option to just simply turn the lockscreen feature off?

Close, but I do not mean the notification of an incoming call - I have already found and changed that setting. I mean when I am already on a call and I pick my phone up to use it it defaults to the phone app with my normal lockscreen hiding behind it. This means that I am forced to swipe up to dismiss the phone app to then get to my lockscreen which I then have to swipe up to get to my home screen - it's too many steps to go through for someone who needs to actually do things with the call in the background. I don't want it to be always in my way like that, I want it to stay in the background for the entire duration of the call. Is there any way to make it go away and stay on my normal lockscreen at all times?

I’ve still not seen a solution to this. I have for now set my action button to open an app and this helps a little but not all iPhones have that option. I tend to sit something over the sensor to make it go off completely. Even on screensaver with the clock it always stays on. Apple really don’t want us to have blank screens lately. 😂

Has anyone found a solution to this problem yet? I can't stand having to swipe up (with a short delay) to move the call out of the way, then swipe up again to unlock... all the while hoping I don't accidently press the end button while swiping and disconnect the call.

Apple - please fix this by adding an option to always keep a phone call in the background, even when phone (screen) is locked!
