I have a 2013 macproOS catalina and was told last year i would need a new Mac pro because my computer would not be able to get latest version but was just told i could get big sur? Which is true?

Is a 2013 macpro with ventura ok to keep using? Or should i consider a new laptop?
Do not use the Mac Pro terminology as a shortcut for MacBook Pro. A Mac Pro is an entirely different device.
