iPhone 13 Pro Screen White after Update

One morning i picked up my iPhone 13PM and the screen started glitching. I thought it was a UI glitch so I rebooted the phone but the glitch persisted. So I force restarted it but the glitch kept coming back and even got worse. For a moment here and there the whole screen was going white out. I thought may be its something that can be fixed with a Factory reset so i did that. Din't help. I just left the device be for a bit thinking may be if I left it for a while it may stop the issue. But by the time I picked it up in the afternoon the screen went permanently white. Now I am on full panic mode. I never dropped it on the floor or into water. Always with a case and screen protector. I wanted this device to last me a long time. I updated regularly, tried to maintain good battery usage and was never careless with my phone. I contacted Apple Support and they asked me to do all the same force restart thing which din't help again. And finally the support person asked me to take it to an Apple repair shop which is tricky for me cause this isn't one where I live. I started looking for videos and forums where people may be facing the same issue as me and it turns there are plenty of them. Whats astonishing is that Apple knows about it but choosing to be silent about it as if they can sweep this one under the rug. I bought into the whole ecosystem by purchasing Airpods pro, an Apple watch and Macbook. If this how Apple is gonna treat their loyal customers then for long as I live nobody in my household will ever purchase anything that has an apple logo on it.

You contacted Apple support and they told you what you needed to do.

IF you're going to use this as an example "started looking for videos and forums where people may be facing the same issue as me and it turns there are plenty of them." Then there are thousands of iphone 13 user who don't have that issue either.

hi razmee209

I strongly disagree with the logic you adopted. Every time there is a major quality defect, Apple uses the term "a very small percentage of" or "small percentage of" in their Service Program to describe the impacted devices. What happened to us did not happen to you or any other users just simply doesn't mean the issue does not exist. Apple values "small percentage of" users like us, as much as it values you. Of course we can and should use this as an example, this is a way we seek asylum for our annoyed moods, it also shows that the problem is there, and a number of people are suffering from it.
