The iPhone 6 will stay at iOS 12.5.7 because no more updates are available for that model.

If you want to update to iOS 15, you will need an iPhone 7.

If you want to update to iOS 16, you will need an iPhone 8 or higher model

If you want to update to iOS 17, you will need an iPhone XS, XR, or 2nd Gen SE or higher model

An iPhone 5s or iPhone 6 isn't capable of 13 or above; they require at least 2GB of RAM.
