Backup photos on cloud

I want to know if the hidden photos are backed up on iCloud or not?

because I checked the number of already backed up photos on cloud with the number of photos on the iPhone itself and I found them equal… so if the hidden photos are backed up then the number on the cloud should be more than the photos on the normal app gallery
