iOS 16.6.1 battery drain issue with Find my App
I’m not sure if anyone encountered this issue. I will like to address the 2 issues I’m facing. First: battery drain at night and second: battery health percentage doesn’t seem accurate and it’s dropping faster than it’s predecessor.
Context: I’m using a 14 Pro Max.
In my case the apple find my app keeps running in background after my phone is fully charged. I had a smart plug at home and it will always turn off the power once it hits 96%. I will usually plug in my phone at around 12am and It will usually get fully charged after 2 am in the morning and I will proceed to use my phone at around 9-10am. Before this update, when I woke up, I should be expecting min 93% but after the update, I will always have a battery life between 80% to 90%. I have checked the settings and it’s telling me the find my app is running at 100% in the background despite turning off the location sharing to my friends, it did improve because before turning off, it’s usually sits from 80-85%. I have also realise the battery health is not great compare to for example the 13PM that my friend is using, we are having the same battery health percentage. There is a shortcut that was built to be able to see the genuine battery health percentage using the analytics data that can be found in the settings. How true the data is I’m not sure but when I view the data in apple settings, it’s at 90% however with that shortcuts, it’s telling me my battery health is at 84%. I wonder if apple is possible to manipulate the data so that iPhone user will not be claiming free battery’s if it drops below to 80%? Anyone out there who is viewing this post. I want to know if anyone are encountered such problems?
