Question

apple tv streaming box not working

The Apple tv streaming box attached to my system has stopped working. It responds to the remote and all cables appear to be plugged in. Can anyone suggest some next steps for me to try?

What do you mean “stopped working”? What happens instead now? Do you see a continuously glowing status light? Does it show anything on screen?

if it was me then I would pull the plug on it for 30sec and then reconnect

and be sure to choose the hdmi port its connected to as the active input source of the tv using the tvs remote

Thanks Rudegar for this very clear solution. Worked like a charm.

I am a little embarrassed I didn't just try this first thing. It's exactly what I told my brother to do for his broken connection to the internet about two days ago. It worked for him too.
