Sync photos between my iTunes and iphone.

I am trying to sync photos between my desktop iTunes (version 12.12.9.4) and iphone12. The photo folders are "grayed out" on iTunes, preventing their selection. I used to be able to select photo folders but now can not.

iPhone Photo Albums Don't Show Up After Syncing On Mac Photos? I synced my iPhone 12's photos to my SSD external drive through my Macbook Pro and all photos synced, but the albums and hidden album created from my iPhone did not. How can I sync this to my Mac Photos app without iCloud?

iPhone photos won’t back up to PC My iPhone pics back up to iCloud storage just fine but they don’t back up to my HP PC. So when I search my PC folders under this PC/Pictures - the folder reads this folder is empty. Making it impossible for me to attach pics or connect to a digital photo frame. Someone said to sync with Google Photos but that app does not show up anywhere on my iPhone 15.

If you don’t see Sync Photos, you’re using iCloud Photos to share your photos and you don’t need to sync your photos using iTunes.
