iOS15 update in iPhone 6

The iPhone 6 was introduced 9 years ago. 9 year old hardware cannot be expected to support the higher demands of new software.

If you want to run iOS 15, you need an iPhone 7.

If you want to run iOS 16, you will need an iPhone 8 or higher.

If you want to run iOS 17, you will need an iPhone XS, XR or 2nd Gen SE, or higher model.

That is not possible. You will need an iPhone 6s or a newer model to install iOS 15 or greater.

At some point, the app developers will require newer versions of iOS that your iPhone 6 will not be able to support and then you will have to make a decision on whether to get a newer model iPhone or not.
