New ipad keeps asking for old password and changing doesn't help
My new ipad keeps asking me for an old password that I can't find despite having changed icloud and logging on with that. Won't download email or apps from other ipad.
Would this be a Password, or Passcode?
Presumably you have restored a pre-existing iCloud or iTunes backup to your new iPad - or transferred data from your old to new iPad using QuickStart?
If so, the Passcode that relates to the backup, is literally the key to the encrypted data included within the backup. Without knowledge of the previously used passcode, the associated encrypted data is unrecoverable.
