Connecting hard wired ( not wireless ) printer on my iMac

You need a USB-C to USB-A adapter to plug the printer into a new iMac.

Sadly some manufactures, no longer offer USB printer drivers for the current macOS versions.

Do you have a special reason for connecting the printer via USB? I am asking because the Canon TR7020a (which also has Wi-Fi capabilities) is listed in About AirPrint - Apple Support as a model supporting Apple's driverless AirPrint technology. Provided that the printer and the Mac are connected to the same network (Wi-Fi router), an additional driver would not be needed. An AirPrint printer is compatible with macOS 13 Ventura.

If you go to the Apple Store (either online or in person) search for Apple's USB-C<-->USB-A adaptor. That's all you need.

(I'd provide a link to Apple's adaptor, but the Apple Store is down at the moment in preparation for their new product announcements later).

Addendum

At least according to the manual at https://downloads.canon.com/hsg2023/ijprinters/manuals/TR7000ser_OnlineManual_Mac_EN_V02.pdf (page 188), even a USB connection appears to work with this printer without additional drivers.

If your printer has an ethernet port, so does the power supply on your 4-port iMac 24. Wired ethernet is a reliable and adequately fast connection option.

EDIT: Just saw the printer model. No ethernet.

There does appear to be drivers for macOS Ventura.
