Connecting hard wired ( not wireless ) printer on my iMac

Just purchased iMac with Ventura 13.2.1 installed and 2 Thunderbolt4 ports on back. What connector would I use to connect male end of USB2 cord from printer to Thunderbolt4 port?

Than ks for any guidance you can provide.

What printer do you have?

(brand and model #)

You need a USB-C to USB-A adapter to plug the printer into a new iMac.

for some examples,

Sadly some manufactures, no longer offer USB printer drivers for the current macOS versions.

Hi,

Do you have a special reason for connecting the printer via USB? I am asking because the Canon TR7020a (which also has Wi-Fi capabilities) is listed in About AirPrint - Apple Support as a model supporting Apple's driverless AirPrint technology. Provided that the printer and the Mac are connected to the same network (Wi-Fi router), an additional driver would not be needed. An AirPrint printer is compatible with macOS 13 Ventura.
