I'm having a hard time extending my Macbook Air to more than one external monitor. I've purchased a $139 Belkin Mini Doc with 2 HDMI ports but it only recognizes one monitor. Is this not supported on the M2 chip?

It's not the M2 chip that doesn't support it...it's the architecture of the MacBook Air. The specs of the MacBook Air say it can support one external monitor. I don't think connecting it to a docking station "fools" it.
