I just want to be able to use the Mac Book Pro 16" Laptop

My sister passed away unexpectedly last month and I received her almost new Mac Book Pro. The one problem is that she had a password on the laptop. I dont need the info on the laptop. I just want to be able to get some use out of almost a 2000 dollar laptop that my family has paid for and is less than a year old. Any help would be very appreciated.
