Why won’t my MacBook Air connect with my iPad to use it as a secondary screen?

I’ve used the control center but nothing happens

Both are: 1)Latest OS 2)Bluetooth on 3)Same WiFi 4) Both are synced and connected over Wifi 5) Can connect via cable I want to use/connect to the iPad via the MacBook, but it isn't showing up as a Display. Restarted, reset bluetooth, etc. Nothing. Since I got the two, it worked once for a while (after an update), but after subsequent updates, it stopped working Does Ventura has a bug related to this, am I missing something??Would really like to use the iPad as a display, but wireless
