Tracking stolen iMac?

I am setting up my devices on FindMy and want to include my 2020 iMac. It is rather new and I want it protected as much as my AirPods, iPhone, etc.

however, I can find no instructions as to how to set up FindMy for my desktop computer.

Is this not possible, and if so, what is wrong with Apple and how do we get this changed?

If it is possible, what is a simple direct explanation to achieve it, and where do I find the instructions?

I'm old and was trained in analog (punch cards and tapes) before digital hit the market.

Anything that I can understand?
