Apple TV suddenly won't turn on Samsung tv

For several years it has worked fine. Now suddenly my Apple TV won’t turn my Samsung TV on when I press the button on the Apple TV remote. HDMI-CEC is on (I’ve flipped it off and on on the tv and on the Apple TV). Why would it suddenly stop working?

AppleTV remote won't turn off Samsung TV New issue. Starting 2 weeks ago, when I hold the power button on the Apple TV remote everything shuts off including my Samsung tv BUT then the tv screen comes back on with the message no signal HDMI-4. HDMI-4 is the source my Apple TV is using.

Apple TV doesn't turn on when TV Turns on (Saumsung) I just bought the newest Apple TV 4K (128gb with ethernet). I have a Samsung smart tv. So when I turn off the TV using the Samsung remote then the light on the Apple TV will turn off. When I turn the tv back on using the Samsung controller then the light stays off on the Apple TV and the Apple TV does not wake make up. So I have to either use my phone or the Apple TV controller to wake the Apple TV again. Then I can continue using my Samsung controller to do everything. Anyone have any idea why this may be? I searched trying to find any info I could find from other people having the same/similar issue but it doesn't look like anyone ever posted a solution or an answer. Thanks!

Try resetting the HDMI connection, by disconnecting the HDMI cable(s) on both ends, then reconnect. A cold restart of all the HDMI devices would have the same effect.
