security lockout on my phone. I don't want to erase it.

I changed the p/w and my 9 yr old was trying to get into it. He tried to many times and now it saying lockout and try again in 1 hours, earlier it said 15 min and then an hour. I don't want to erase it. How can I unlock it with the correct pass code
