Can I hook my Mac mini up to my Dell docking station?

I work remotely and have a Dell laptop plugged into a Dell docking station for work with three monitors. I just purchased a Mac mini and want to see if I can plug it into the docking station to be able to use the same three monitors without changing around all the HDMI cords every time I change from work to personal use. Can this be done? I tried plugging the lighting cord into the slot of the docking station but nothing happens.
